About Your Donation

All charitable donations made through the Global Fund of Texas website are received by Global Fund for Assistance Inc. (EIN 86-3361537), a U.S. 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization.

Global Fund for Assistance Inc. receives charitable contributions from donors and makes grants to eligible nonprofit organizations in accordance with its charitable purposes, grantmaking policies, compliance procedures, and applicable law.

When you donate through Global Fund of Texas and select a nonprofit organization, fund, project, or cause, you are making a charitable contribution to Global Fund for Assistance Inc. together with a recommendation regarding the charitable organization or purpose you would like your contribution to support.

Your recommendation is taken into consideration, but Global Fund for Assistance Inc. retains the legal discretion and control required over contributed charitable funds.

If the nonprofit organization you recommend is eligible to receive a grant, Global Fund for Assistance Inc. will process a grant to that organization in accordance with its grantmaking policies and procedures.

In the unlikely event that a selected nonprofit is determined to be ineligible, cannot receive the grant, has ceased operations, cannot be verified, or otherwise cannot receive the funds, Global Fund for Assistance Inc. will, whenever reasonably possible, contact the donor and request a recommendation for another eligible nonprofit organization or charitable purpose.

Grant Distribution

Grants to eligible nonprofit recipients are generally scheduled to be distributed within 30 days following the close of the month in which the donation was received, subject to nonprofit eligibility verification, fraud and compliance reviews, payment settlement, and other applicable grantmaking requirements.

Tax Deductibility

Global Fund for Assistance Inc. is recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by applicable law. Donors should retain their donation receipt and consult their own tax adviser regarding their individual circumstances.
