The situation

On June 24, 2026, two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela — among the strongest the country has experienced in over a century. The quakes hit a nation already facing deep humanitarian need, stretching resources even further in the affected regions.

The earthquakes destroyed homes, damaged hospitals and schools, and disrupted access to water and electricity. Families who were already struggling now face the added burden of displacement and uncertainty. Many have lost everything and are sleeping in the open or in crowded temporary shelters.

With basic services damaged and the country's humanitarian situation already fragile, the need for food, clean water, medicine, and shelter is urgent. Relief teams are on the ground, but they need resources to reach every family affected.
